Most restaurant marketing audits take an agency two weeks and end in a 40-page deck. Here's a version you can run in 60 seconds. Keep score out of 7.

The 7 checks

  • Open Google in incognito and search your restaurant name. Does your Business Profile show up complete (photos in the last 30 days, menu, hours, recent reviews replied to)? +1.
  • Search your cuisine + neighborhood ("thai food brooklyn heights"). Are you in the top 3 results? +1.
  • Open your Instagram. Is the most recent post from the last 7 days? Are at least 2 of the last 5 posts video, not static? +1.
  • Click the "Reserve a table" or "Order online" button on your Google profile. Does it work, on mobile, in under 3 taps? +1.
  • Open your last 10 Google reviews. Are 8+ of them replied to with a personal, specific reply (not "Thanks!")? +1.
  • Pull up your menu on your phone. Does it load in under 2 seconds, and is it readable without pinch-zoom? +1.
  • Ask one staff member to send a guest the link to book a private event. Can they do it in under 30 seconds without asking you? +1.

What a passing score looks like

Most restaurants we audit score 2 or 3. A score of 5 puts you ahead of 85% of independents in your market. A score of 7 is rare and almost always correlates with a measurable booking premium.

The good news: every one of these is fixable in a single afternoon. None of them require an agency or a budget. Most of them just require an owner who has actually walked through their own customer's path in the last six months.

Data note: This analysis is based on anonymized restaurant operating patterns, public local-search audits, and Nuxa benchmarks across hundreds of restaurants. Individual results vary by cuisine, location, competition, and connected systems.
